Being the sixth grade homeroom teacher is a rewarding job because of the eager students and involved parents here. My classes with the sixth grade are Religion (Old Testament), Reading, Spelling, Composition, Handwriting, and Social Studies.
I work with students in all three of the middle school grades, which means we develop a close rapport which adolescents thrive on. Geography is my specialty for the seventh grade and for eighth grade it is Religion (Confirmation and Church History).
My background includes graduating from a Catholic elementary school, a Catholic high school, and a Catholic college. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Dayton and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Butler University.
I've been a teacher in public and Catholic schools in Ohio, Indiana, Florida, and South Carolina so I bring both a variety and depth of experience to the classroom. Keeping the material fresh, incorporating many kinds of activities, using the technological tools available and injecting large doses of humor all aid in challenging and motivating my students to do their best.

Sixth grade
From the principal

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. My Master’s Degree is in School Administration.
I taught Special Education classes in Spartanburg’s District 6, then moved to Miami, Fla., where I taught for 18 years and was a principal for five years. For four years I acted as an Educational Consultant to hospitals that served children with psychiatric/psychological illnesses.
I am very happy to be back in Spartanburg. I graduated form Spartanburg High School. Now I am back at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School where I was very active in the Parish CYO and my seven youngest brothers and sisters went to school.
