I was born and raised on a farm in Oshkosh, WI. My faith in God started at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church. I am a football fanatic — especially the Green Bay Packers and University of Wisconsin Badgers.

My family and I were transferred here 13 years ago from Wisconsin when my husband’s job moved. I am a mother of five children and a grandmother of two delightful little boys. Our family welcomed our newest member - a new granddaughter - this year. My husband and I feel very strongly about Catholic education as all of our children attended parochial schools in both Wisconsin and South Carolina.

Our children now have followed our example and have enrolled our first grandchild at St. Paul. The love I have for children led me to St. Paul where I am enjoying my 11th school year with each and every one of them!

From the principal

I am very proud to be the Principal at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School. This is my ninth year here and it has been a wonderful experience; I have grown and learned so much! We have such a warm and involved school family!

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. My Master’s Degree is in School Administration.

I taught Special Education classes in Spartanburg’s District 6, then moved to Miami, Fla., where I taught for 18 years and was a principal for five years. For four years I acted as an Educational Consultant to hospitals that served children with psychiatric/psychological illnesses.

I am very happy to be back in Spartanburg. I graduated form Spartanburg High School. Now I am back at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School where I was very active in the Parish CYO and my seven youngest brothers and sisters went to school.
