For the past five years I have been the middle school math teacher. I grew up in Spartanburg, graduated from Spartanburg High School, and earned my undergraduate degree from Winthrop. I earned my Master’s Degree from Converse. I have taught middle school since 1971, with a few years off to baby-sit a grandchild.
I love teaching or I wouldn't have been at it for so long! I spent most of my career teaching at McCracken Junior High School. I came here to St. Paul School when my best friend told me they had an opening for a middle school math teacher, and wouldn't it be fun if we worked together. And she was right! I love teaching here. The students are hard working, polite, respectful, and just a delight to teach. The faculty is very caring, both toward each other and the students. The parents are the most supportive I have ever encountered. It's the best decision I've ever made!

From the principal

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. My Master’s Degree is in School Administration.
I taught Special Education classes in Spartanburg’s District 6, then moved to Miami, Fla., where I taught for 18 years and was a principal for five years. For four years I acted as an Educational Consultant to hospitals that served children with psychiatric/psychological illnesses.
I am very happy to be back in Spartanburg. I graduated form Spartanburg High School. Now I am back at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School where I was very active in the Parish CYO and my seven youngest brothers and sisters went to school.
